Weddings at L'Orangerie

We invite you to celebrate your special day at our stylishly rustic, romantic wedding venue in rural Tauranga . . where the most beautiful memories are made . .

A couple walks away down a grassy, flower-lined path surrounded by lush greenery, with tall pink wildflowers in the foreground and trees arching overhead.

All our weddings are a personal offering from our family to yours . .

Our family have decided to offer our special place . . L’Orangerie . . to couples who wish to celebrate their Wedding Day amidst our lovingly tended gardens and 'fabulously undone' magical old Barn.

We offer our passion for delivering absolute perfection in ambience and service and we are unashamedly proud of the growing reputation we are continuing to build for absolutely wonderful weddings . .

it is what we do
it is what we love

Rustic indoor event with wooden tables decorated with white flowers, greenery, candles, and glassware; wooden beams, natural light, and lush floral arrangements create an elegant, festive atmosphere.

What to expect at L’Orangerie...

Time and attention to detail

We delight in limiting the occasions we host to only one per week which allows our guests all the time and space they need to enjoy their day before, during and after.
We offer you time to ‘dress’ your day with access to L’Orangerie between 10am and 2pm the day before your celebration.  There is then relaxed access to The Barn to collect personal effects the morning after your celebration.

Thoughtful attention to all meetings and communications with L’Orangeries’ owner Rebecca, who brings a wealth of experience to the detailing of your celebration.

A simply stunning venue

Use of our fabulous old Barn measuring 20m x 10m for your reception dinner and dance. The Barn boasts an ornate wrought iron chandelier and is further lit by moody downlights and/or twinkling fairy lights depending on your preference.

The Barn has huge rustic doors at each end and an entire wall can be left open to enjoy the surrounding terrace and lawn areas. At night these wonderful spaces come to life with festive festoon lighting.

We have an extensive car parking lawn under the trees, adjacent to the venue, catering to both cars and small to medium size buses.

Vintage collections and timeless touches

While we don’t do the catering (we can highly recommend some great Catering Teams on our We Recommend page) . . we do supply long, rustic refectory tables and seating that includes an eclectic mix of historic church pews and old wooden school chairs. You are also welcome to use our vintage collections of plateware, glassware and heavy silver cutlery should you wish to incorporate them into your dinner table settings.

A special location

The photographic opportunities are unparalleled . .
We provide access to quietly beautiful gardens, orchard and lawn areas back dropped by the romantic French inspired homestead.
There are forests . . there are fields . . and there are the most stunning sunsets turning the surrounding paddocks and long waving summer grasses to gold . .

A bride and groom stand facing each other in a forest, surrounded by tall trees with light-colored bark. The bride holds a bouquet and wears a white dress and veil; the groom wears a dark suit.
Green leafy vines climb up a beige stucco wall next to a white-framed window with decorative diamond-patterned glass panes. The window features some purple-tinted sections.

The L'Orangerie Long Lunch

We offer celebrations throughout the day

The cool of a midsummer morning at L'Orangerie is an absolutely spectacular time of day. A truly magical time to celebrate new beginnings. Then sharing time and fabulous food with friends in the shade of the Barn when the midday heat can be uncomfortable . .

. . just a thought . . something a little different . .

Lunchtime weddings at L'Orangerie offer a charming experience which allows you and your guests to really embrace the simple beauty of this place.
Time goes more slowly, friends and family can be enjoyed, great food and wine can be more thoroughly appreciated . . all in an atmosphere not rushing all too fast towards the end of the night.

We welcome your thoughts on how we can help you celebrate your day just a little differently than the rest . .
